I’m Omar Daraz, a Director of Photography (DOP), Cinematographer, Filmmaker, and Creative Producer with over 10 years of experience in film, television, digital content, and commercial production.

I currently work with Lusail Studio in Qatar as a Director and Director of Photography, where I lead creative and production My work combines visual storytelling, creative direction, technical production, and cinematic look to bring ideas from concept to screen.

I’ve worked across feature films, television, web series, documentaries, commercials, and branded content. My credits include Baarwan Khiladi, Aik Hai Nigar, Motorcycle Girl, and Shah, among other productions.

I began my professional journey as a Graphic Designer, where I learned to communicate messages through visual elements such as photography, shapes, color, and texture. At that time, my work was primarily static – one frame designed to convey a single idea.

Over time, my passion for visual communication led me from static design to moving images and storytelling. I complete both my undergraduate and graduate studies in Graphic Design (University College of Art & Design – Punjab University Lahore), which further motivated me to become a visual storyteller.

Film is a Hero Trilogy based on the life of a female motorcyclist, Zenith Irfan.

In 2015, I have also done cinematography in the famous feature film, SHAH, based on the life of a Pakistani boxer, Hussain Shah, who won a Bronze medal at 1988 Summer Olympics and became the only boxer in Pakistan’s history to secure an Olympic Medal. The film was released on 14th August, 2015.
